Kimberly O’Donnell is an Associate Consultant located in the greater Charlottesville area, offering My College Fit college planning services to students locally and remotely. As former admissions colleagues and long-time friends, Kim and Amy share the same dedication to serving the uniqueness of each student with personalized college planning, and a belief that the process of applying to college is as valuable as the outcome.

 

With a background in college and graduate school admissions at Dickinson College, Dartmouth College, and Northwestern University, Kim brings a wealth of experience in highly selective college admissions and advising students. Kim currently works in the Development & Alumni Relations field for Woodberry Forest School after contributing to Albemarle County Public Schools directing Work & Community Based Learning. Prior to high school level work, Kim was Associate Director of UVA’s Internship Placement Program.

Kim offers career exploration as an element in the MyCollegeFit planning process to support students arriving in college with direction and purpose. Her career also includes work in career services and external relations at the University of Colorado, Boulder Leeds School of Business, college recruiting at McKinsey & Company, and college counseling with CollegeLINK Educational Planning & Advising and the Daniels Fund College Prep & Scholarship Program. 

 

Kim is an alumna of Dickinson College, where she studied English, French, and Education. She received a Master’s Degree in Educational Foundations Policy and Practice at the University of Colorado, Boulder.  Kim’s professional associations have included the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE); Cooperative Education & Internship Association (CEIA), and community work in Junior Achievement and Boys & Girls Club.  Kim is also an avid equestrian and will complete credentialing as a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor.
